What it's like to work with RiskX

We help your people understand the retirement plan you already offer, and we help you look after it. That means a booklet made for your company, help with employee questions, a yearly meeting about your plan and our pay disclosed in writing.

We start with the plan you have

  1. We talk

Tell us what's working, what employees ask about and where HR needs help. You don't need all your documents first.

  2. We look at your plan

We look at the fees, the support and what employees receive, and explain what we see in plain language. This review is free.

  3. We agree what fits

Together we agree the support that fits your company and how we work with your provider. Keeping what works is always an option.

  4. We stay in touch

We build your booklet and help with education. We check in with HR a few times a year and meet with you every year.

Help your people understand why the plan exists

A retirement plan only does its job when people understand it. We start with the why: what the plan is for, what the employer match means for them and why the years they have matter more than the amount.

  • Member education built around your plan, not a generic brochure
  • A booklet made for your company and branded as yours
  • Updated when your plan changes
  • Health and dental information can be added where it makes sense

Help for your HR team

The booklet is a start. We also help your team explain the plan and send questions to the right place.

What RiskX helps with

  • Explaining how your plan works
  • Employee education sessions and onboarding
  • Common questions employees bring to HR

Where others take over

  • Account access and administration: your plan's provider
  • Personal financial questions: a financial advisor through your provider
  • RiskX doesn't give personal investment advice

Your employees can talk to a financial advisor, at no cost

Through one of our group retirement providers, employees can meet a financial advisor at no cost to them. Meetings are virtual, so each person books a time that works for them. We confirm what's available with your plan.

A yearly meeting about your plan

Each year we meet with your company to review where things stand, your goals and your planning. That includes:

  1. What the plan costs, in writing, and what the fees are made of
  2. What employees receive, from education to support
  3. Whether anything is worth changing: keep what works, improve it, change the advisor or, sometimes, move providers

Between meetings, we check in with your HR team a few times a year.

Written each year

We tell you how we're paid

Each year your company receives a written disclosure of how RiskX is paid and how we earn it. That can include ongoing pay and pay related to a plan change.

You see our pay next to the service and the plan's costs, so you can judge it all together.

Common questions before we start

Do we have to change providers?

Not necessarily. An advisor or agent-of-record appointment may let RiskX work with your existing provider, if that provider accepts the appointment and we agree the service scope. An appointment doesn't automatically change your fees; any change to costs, accounts or services is confirmed first.

Can the employee booklet change as our plan changes?

Yes. We make the booklet for your company and update it when you ask. It explains your plan, the employer match, how to join and where employees can find help. Health and dental information can be included where it makes sense, so employees find their benefits in one place.

Who receives the yearly pay disclosure?

Your company does. Each year we explain in writing how RiskX is paid, which may include ongoing pay and pay related to a plan change. It's separate from the yearly meeting about your plan, and it isn't a fee statement for each employee.
